About Us

Who we are.

Quiet Relief Association is a Calgary-based registered charity creating welcoming, non-clinical opportunities for people to connect, participate and belong.

Our Story

Why Quiet Relief began

Many community programs are clinical, age-specific, or difficult to access. Quiet Relief was started to create something different — warm, welcoming spaces where people of different ages and backgrounds could simply come together, take part and feel they belong.

We are not a therapy program or a service provider. We are a community organization. And we believe meaningful opportunities to connect and participate should be available to everyone.

"Building thoughtfully. Growing together. Creating opportunities to belong."

Our Mission

To create welcoming opportunities for people to connect, participate and belong.

Our Vision

A community where every person feels valued, included and supported.

Our Values

What guides everything we do

Connection

Real relationships, not just programming. We create the conditions for genuine human connection to grow.

Inclusion

Welcoming means genuinely welcoming — especially for those who are most easily left out.

Dignity

Every person is valued as a full human being — not a diagnosis, not a category, not a case file.

Compassion

We treat every person with kindness, empathy and respect — in every interaction.

Community

Strong communities are built through relationships, collaboration and showing up for one another.

CARE CONNECT Build meaningful relationships. ACCEPT Welcome people as they are. RESPECT Honour dignity and choice. ENGAGE Create opportunities to participate.
Our Framework

CARE is at the heart of how we work.

Our approach is simple — and it shapes everything we do.

Connect. Accept. Respect. Engage.
